’Wiehler Wirtschaftstreff’: New format for exchange and networking

The new event format is intended to give companies from Wiehl the opportunity to talk directly to the city and the business development agency. At the same time, the focus is on exchanging ideas with one another – an aspect that BGS Managing Director Dr. Andreas Ostrowicki also emphasized: “In times of change – be it due to economic challenges, technological developments or social changes – networking is more important than ever. With the ´Wiehler Wirtschaftstreff`, we have now created a forum that promotes precisely that.”

Wiehl’s mayor Ulrich Stücker was also delighted with the positive response: “We want to build a strong local network in order to address the concerns of companies at an early stage and look for solutions together. The better we know each other, the better we can shape the local economic conditions.”

Frank Herhaus, Head of Planning, Regional Development and Environment at the Oberberg district, emphasized the importance of cooperation between companies, municipalities and the district: “Our economy faces many challenges. Together, we can develop solutions and strengthen Oberberg as a business location in the long term.”

The next ´Wiehler Wirtschaftstreff` is planned for the second half of 2025.
