Creativity meets tradition

Once again this year, the second-graders of the Wiehl primary school group were able to show off their artistic talents: The painting competition to design the BGS Christmas card was carried out with great enthusiasm. Since 2008, the Christmas cards have been designed by the pupils of the second classes – a festive highlight that has long since become a tradition.

Three winning pictures were selected from the many creative works of art. The young artists were rewarded with book vouchers; the winning design adorns this year’s BGS Christmas card. On Monday, December 2, 2024, the winning picture was finally presented during the Advent caroling ceremony. As a special thank you, BGS presented a donation check in the amount of 1,500 euros. The Wiehl primary school association plans to use this year’s donation to provide new playground equipment for the breaks.

Editor’s note: The picture shows Jonathan (1st place) and Ajla (2nd place). Mila (3rd place) is missing due to illness.
