BGS continues “TuWaS!” support in 2025/2026
Promoting STEM skills at an early age: BGS will continue to support the educational program TuWaS! – Technology and Natural Sciences in Schools in the 2025/2026 school year. This funding is part of our long-term commitment to promoting STEM education.

Learning through research with TuWaS!
TuWaS! is a joint project of the Free University of Berlin and several chambers of industry and commerce in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The aim of the program is to introduce students in grades 1 to 6 to scientific and technical issues in a playful and investigative way. With practical experimental materials and accompanying training courses for teachers, TuWaS! makes an important contribution to promoting methodological skills, teamwork, and language development in everyday school life.
“We see it as our social responsibility to get young people interested in technology and science at an early age. Programs such as TuWaS! lay the foundation for children to become familiar with scientific ways of thinking at an early age and develop an interest in STEM careers,” explains Dr. Andreas Ostrowicki, Managing Director of BGS.
The sponsorship partnership includes the provision of four experiment modules per school semester, the delivery and maintenance of materials, and the organization and financing of teacher training courses.
